This year, I went to Canada for Christmas, from December 14 to 29. I decided to bring back some maple candy as a souvenir. This candy is made with maple syrup. Maple syrup comes from “sugar maple” trees. We make a hole in the tree, and gather the “maple water”. When we have enough, we boil it to remove some water. When we remove enough, it becomes maple syrup. The maple leaf is a famous symbol of Canada. The candy is also in the shape of a maple leaf, and made from maple syrup, so it’s a good souvenir to represent Canada.
